This squash blossom necklace is in very good condition. It was made by Clyde Begay, from Arizona, in the 1970s. This is all natural sleeping beauty turquoise. The naja measures about 3 inches across and the necklace is very large, measuring 17 inches long. It is not broken, no stones are crack or chipped. I spoke with an expert on Native American jewelry and she said she would ask at least $900.00 for it. This is a beautiful necklace, it is just not something I would wear. I feel that this belongs with someone who will love and wear it, not just leave it in a drawrer which is why the starting price is $400. I want this to sell and be enjoyed! A stunning piece designed and beautifully crafted by Alex and Marylita Boone – in excellent condition! The design style is a cuff/collar with two hinges that keep the piece flexible and comfortable to wear. It is both signed and numbered by the artists. It also has a mark that signifies that it is Zuni. The interior measurement is approximately 17″ from one end of chain to the other. The center panel from top to bottom measures 1 1/16″. A very simple but lovely chain holds the true artwork of this piece. There are three panels that are held together (beautifully done!) by two hinges. The metal is sterling silver – unmarked which is common for the artists. On each panel are very intricate and precise inlay work done in Jet (a lightweight carbonized driftwood), Turquoise, Mother of Pearl and Coral. This is a preowned piece but absolutely no stones missing or loosening of the hinges or chain. A truly lovely piece of art. No reserve! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
