A large Vintage Multi-Color Inlay Ring exquisitely handcrafted from heavy gauge sterling silver and designed and created by accomplished New Mexico Navajo artist and silversmith, Ray Jack. Noted for his bold mosaic inlay, Ray Jack began his career as a silversmith around 1995. Ray is from Ramah, NM and is referenced in Barton Wright’s HALLMARKS OF THE SOUTHWEST. This fantastic Ring features a rectangular-shaped Ring Face composed of Mosaic Channel Inlay consisting of a spectacular and striking array of square and rectangular cut stones. Ring Face measures 3/4″ in length by 1/2″ wide with each precisely cut stone beautifully separated by a thin layer of silver. Stone cuts included in this ring are Turquoise, Carnelian, Denim Lapis, Gaspeite, Lapis, Malachite, Orange Spiny Oyster (Spondylus), Tiger’s Eye, Wild Horse Magnesite and a beautifully iridescent White Mother-of-Pearl. This Amazing Stone Collection sits high in its silver bezel, and is beautifully polished and meticulously beveled around the outer border. The bezel features Ray Jack’s clever signature line detail that extends down the sides and down the wide shanks of the ring. Wide side shanks taper to a 3/16″ band under the finger. Ring is hallmarked “RJack”, with his individualized first initial attached to his surname in smaller block letters, and is also stamped “Sterling”. Ring is an approximate size 10 and weighs a nice solid 17.5 grams. Superb pre-owned condition. A Stunning and Handsome look and feel that is readily identifiable as a Ray Jack work of art! For auction is a gorgeous handmade sterling silver and picture jasper ring in a size 7. I cannot find a hallmark on it but it is guaranteed to be sterling silver or your money back. The stone is so pretty that it looks like the painted desert of the southwest. The ring is substantial in weight and measures 1 1/4″ long by 1/2″ wide. Up on the auction block is this signed EFFIE ZUNI STERLING silver snake ring. Its a very large a very heavy ring. Over 23 grams. Supersize the photos for fine details of this ring. A Beautiful large Vintage Navajo Ring featuring beautifully aged Turquoise and Coral Nuggets and impeccably and meticulously handcrafted Gold on sterling silver foliate applique designs. Remarkable turquoise and coral nuggets with natural inclusions are securely set in very deep plain silver bezels that are gold washed. Stunning rich aqua blue rounded triangular shaped Turquoise nugget exhibits dark matrix with interesting sparkling silver pyrite inclusions and measures 1/2″ in length by 3/8″ at widest point. Coral nugget is a rectangular in shape and measures 5/16″ in length by 3/16″ wide. Nugget settings are surrounded with masterfully placed elaborate detailed leaf applique interspersed with twisted wire and cleverly accented with silver raindrop beads. Ring Face, which wraps around the finger for a very comfortable fit, measures 1-1/4″ in length by approximately 7/8″ wide. Thick gold washed rounded silver wire frames the Ring Face and comes together at either side to form a 3/16″ ring band. Ring is stamped “STERLING” and is hallmarked “RB?” with what appears to be a partially stamped third letter that is not fully legible. (This hallmark could be attributed to many well known Navajo silversmiths such as Richard and Rita Begay, Robert Becenti, Jr., Raymond Begay to name a few referenced in Barton Wright’s Hallmarks of the Southwest.) Ring is an approximate size 8-3/4, and weighs just over 9 grams. Excellent pre-owned and aged condition with a lovely Vintage patina. Clearly this ring is quite old and has all the characteristics of the work of a very talented Navajo master silversmith. All sales are final.
