14K GOLD TURQUOISE WATCHBAND SIGNED RLB ROBERT BERNICE LEEKYA Up for your consideration is this absolutely GORGEOUS unique one-of a-kind set of 14K SOLID GOLD custom made turquoise nugget works watch band ends. I asked several “experts” to identify the hallmark and have confirmed that this exquisite set was made by world renowned ZUNI artist Robert & Bernice Leekya. Robert Leekya was the son of famous fetish carver Leekya Deyuse. Robert worked for over 5 decades and it is my understanding that he unfortunately is no longer with us, and his past creations have skyrocketed in value as the last pieces are snapped up by collectors – there are fewer and fewer pieces available to buy. The value of this wonderful nugget work will only climb further. FEATURES: These ends are solid 14K gold and completely hand made by famous American Indian artisan couple Robert & Bernice Leekya. They rarely did work in solid gold and each end has 3 gorgeous graduated pieces of either “Sleeping Beauty” or “Kingman” Turquoise in a sawtooth bezel setting. (personally I think this is definitely sleeping beauty) This is an absolutely stunning set of watch tip ends. I am not certain which of the two mines these came from but sleeping beauty is closed and no longer produces and I believe the kingman mine is also exhausted. Handmade from Sterling Silver, this wonderfully extravagant accessory is very nicely contoured for wearing comfort. The curved sides are both set with trios of Turquoise of vivid blue-green. The Zuni are known for their stonework, & this is a good example! Each freeform Turquoise measures approx. 8 x 13. These stones are set amidst Silver Balls, with traditional tribal stampwork. The tubes to hold the spring bars of your watch are 16mm long, 30mm apart (somwhat adjustable), with neat silver caps to smooth out & streamline the profile. The Silver bracelet measures slightly more than an inch wide. Measuring on the INSIDE, this bracelet is 2 & 3/8ths inches across, about 1 & 3/4 inches front to back, with a 1 inch gap between the two ends. These measurements tell us this is a slightly-larger-than average sized bracelet.
