Jack Red Cloud By Frank A. Rinehart

Native American ArtJack Red Cloud (Mahpiya Luta )was the son of the infamous war leader Red Cloud. He lived from 1862 – 1928 and became chief of the Oglala Sioux at the Pine Ridge Agency during the last years of his father’s life. He achieved recognition as a warrior and orator. Frank Albert Rinehart was an American artist famous for his drawings paintings and photographs depicting Native American personalities and scenes especially the leaders and members of the delegations who attended the 1898 Indian Congress in Omaha Nebraska.
